I made this from a photo I took on the way home on a day I was counting all my blessings. I still feel incredibly grateful to live where I do, and to have the opportunities and life that I am lucky enough to live, even with challenges. This painting has a painted gallery edge so it is ready to hang without framing. The brushstrokes vary in this painting, and the light really hits the texture of the brushstrokes in the grass. It’s one of my favourite paintings I’ve done yet.
