I painted this landscape work from a photo I took three years ago, and had wanted to paint it since but was unable to. This painting holds a lot of emotion and meaning for me for that reason. This stormy and moody sky was captured in a photo I took just outside of Caledon, Ontario (on the edge of Orangeville), right before a thunderstorm rolled in. I love those moments right before a storm and you can feel the build up of energy. This landscape painting is 9x12” and has a painted gallery edge so it’s ready to hang with no need for framing. It was part of the Headwaters Arts Juried Art Exhibition in September and October 2020, in Alton Ontario.
